Start with Google Chrome on a Computer

If you have access to a laptop or desktop computer, then you should use that as your main device for Bramble. On your computer, you need to use Google Chrome as that provides full support for the cutting edge features of the Bramble platform. If you don't have Chrome on your computer, you can download it here.

Your basic setup should include a computer running Google Chrome.

Your Audio Setup

You will need access to a microphone so you can speak to each other. Most computers have a built in microphone but if you need to buy one, you can read our recommendations here. We also recommend using headphones because they will help to reduce any echo or feedback.

Improving Your Drawing

One of the biggest improvements you can make to your online tutoring is how well you can draw. This is not a necessity, 80% of our users just use a laptop, but if you do have access to any of the options below then they can make a big difference.

Using iPads

If you have access to an iPad and a computer then the best option is to use both. On your iPad, you need to use Safari to access Bramble. To use your iPad as a secondary device, you simply open up the same room link and choose to join without voice.

If you only have access to an iPad, you can still use that for a fully fledged live lesson on Bramble. It just isn't quite as reliable as a computer which is why we recommend using both if possible.

Using Android Tablets

If you have access to an Android Tablet and a computer then the best option is to use both. On your Android Tablet, use Chrome to access Bramble. To use your Android Tablet as a secondary device, simply open up the same room link and choose to join without voice.
