How to share resources

There are a number of different way to share resources on Bramble so you can quickly share everything from diagrams and essays to past papers.

Share from device or previous sessions

You can upload resources directly from your device by clicking the upload resource button. This also gives you the option to share resources from previous sessions to save you time.

You can share resources with multiple pages. Each new page of the upload will appear almost instantly on a new page of the Bramble notebook. Bear in mind that we recommend keeping your notebooks below 100 pages. If you need to cut down a large PDF then you can use a PDF splitting tool.

You can also share up to four resources on the same page. Simply upload them all to the same page and they will automatically be resized to fit.

Sharing Word, Powerpoint and other documents

You can upload any image or PDF to Bramble. If you've got other files you would like to upload, such as Word or Powerpoint documents, you can either export them to PDF and upload them or take a screenshot and upload them, as explained below. Here are some tips on converting files to PDF.

Sharing anything using screenshots

Screenshots are perhaps the quickest way to share anything. They might take a bit of getting used to but it's time well spent as they will let you share anything on your screen in a very specific manner.

To take a screenshot on a Mac, simply press cmd+ctrl+shift+4 and drag the crosshair to select the area of the screen to capture. Your screenshot will be copied to your clipboard so you can then click on the Bramble notebook and press cmd+v to paste the screenshot.

To take a screenshot on Windows, you will need to use the Snipping Tool. On most Windows devices, you can now access the Snipping Tool via a convenient keyboard shortcut: press win+shift+s and then select the area of the screen to capture. Your screenshot will be copied to your clipboard so you can then click on the Bramble notebook and press ctrl+v to paste the screenshot. If that shortcut doesn't work for you, open the Snipping Tool via the Start Menu, take a Rectangular Snip and then copy it to your clipboard before pasting it in to Bramble with ctrl+v.

Drag and drop from your computer

Rather than uploading via the upload resource icon, you can just drag and drop any image or PDF from your computer directly in to the notebook to share it instantly.

Copy and paste from the internet

You can copy and paste any image from the internet straight in to the Bramble notebook. Simply right-click on the desired image and select copy. Then return to the Bramble notebook, click on the page and press cmd+v or ctrl+v to paste the image in to the notebook.

Use snapshot to share a picture

You can use snapshot to take a picture using the webcam on your computer, which is immediately shared in the notebook. This can be useful for past paper answers, questions and any other resource you can think of.
